As most of us know asbestos is a dangerous material, and it's no surprise that our governments banned its use over a decade ago. It might surprise you to know that the asbestos industry is far from dead, in fact the World Health Organisation recently estimated that as many as 125 million people are exposed to asbestos in the workplace each day. Countries that continue to use the dangerous material include Russia, China, India, and many small south Asian nations. Canada continues to export the material for use in building products, though no longer uses the material itself.
The video below helps demonstrate what an issue asbestos continues to be, and how much of the world still turns a blind eye to its danger.
